If you are a small & medium-sized business owner and someone approaches you saying they can generate leads for your business, do not believe them instantly.
In fact, there are many companies and individuals out there offering this type of service but don’t necessarily deliver.
Now let me explain where I am coming from so you can grasp the picture I am painting here.
With all the technological updates and changes happening in digital platforms, one must be vigilant in qualifying the leads they are getting.
This strong objection of mine about getting leads from just anyone came from a personal experience when I tried helping one of my clients sell his social assets to an investor.
✅ He had the business details to show.
✅ In fact, when we had our interview, he was able to answer all our inquiries.
So at that stage, it seemed that everything was perfect.
❌ But, the deal was not closed because the investor found out that the leads presented were taken using an email scraper (the process of extracting email addresses online to contact and sell to them later) and this is not something that he would recommend doing.

💡 Do not just go for any leads but get qualified leads. And check if the business process is something that you would adhere to. Because if it is, then chances you would want to work with that company/person.
But how would we know if the leads we have are qualified or not?
